After a convincing 3-2 win over FC Pune City in their opening clash of the Indian Super League Season 4, the Lions will continue their travels as they take on Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

The two teams come into the game on the back of dominant performances and a win for either side would see them reach the top spot of the league after two game-weeks. Bengaluru beat Mumbai City FC 2-0 in their home ground but will come into this game without Mawia [Ralte], Joyner [Lourenco] in defence and Dimas [Delgado] in midfield.

There are no injury concerns for the Lions coming into this game, and Head Coach Miguel Angel Portugal is keen on continuing the good start they have had to the season, but is wary of the threat that Albert Roca’s side possesses.

“Bengaluru is a different side,” Portugal said. “I like how they play and Albert Roca is a good coach.

“They play in a way that is similar to my team. Possession is not going to be very easy as Bengaluru will also fight for the ball. Whoever scores first tomorrow will win the game.”

Lallianzuala Chhangte was the star of Dynamos’ previous game as his goal and assist helped the Lions ease to a win, and forward Guyon Fernandez is confident that the youngster can pull off a special performance against Bengaluru on Sunday.

“He did a great job in the first game and hopefully he will continue doing that on Sunday too against Bengaluru. He is a treat to watch for the fans.”

This will be the first time that the two sides will meet each other in the ISL.
